Earl F Rasmussen
June 30, 1935 ~ November 23, 2017
Earl F. Rasmussen, Born in the little community of Bennet Utah on June 30 1935 to Farrell and Verda Rasmussen then they moved to Ballard Utah . He attended grade school in the old Ballard 4 room school and then to Alterra Junior High then on to Union High . Before his senior year he was involved in a terrible tractor accident which almost took his life so he lost a year of school but recovered and graduated high school in 1955. After graduating high school he went to work at the Periott Gilsonite mine with his Dad and Brothers , then on to working at Wiscomb Painting Co. in SLC with his cousins Cloyd and Ward Seely. He then went on and started his own business painting just about anything including the Flaming Gorge Dam. Living in Roosevelt Utah he worked painting trucks and equipment for Halliburton and other Oil Field Services. Earl moved to Wyoming where he continued his painting business for several years and then retired from painting and worked at the Wyoming Parks and Recreation. While in Sheraton Earl lost his wife so he moved back to Roosevelt and then here to Vernal. Earl then retired from work but not from having fun. He loved his little dog Mitzi and he also loved to dance and had lady's lined up waiting to dance with him at the Golden Age Center. He loved the Temple and the Church and was very active until the very end. He was very appreciative of the home health nurses and friends that took very good care of him. He is survived by a Son Steve and Grand Children and and Brothers and Sisters. In lieu of flowers please contribute to a burial fund. Memorial services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the vernal LDS Stake Center (850 West 100 North). Burial will be at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
