Alice Thompson

Alice May Pettis Thompson, age 79 of Vernal, died at her home on March 18, 2012. She was born in Minnesota to Edward and Regina Kindle Pettis on November 25, 1932. Alice had lived in Vernal for the past 40 years with her husband Elmer. She served on bowling leagues for years. She and Elmer spent many winters living and vacationing in Arizona. Alice loved arts and crafts and was an awesome cook. She taught all of her girls how to cook and can. Nothing gave Alice more pleasure than sharing with her friends and neighbors. Alice is survived by her children; Gary (Margie) Senti, Brian (Jenny) Senti, and David Senti, stepson; Mike (Peggy) Thompson, daughters; Gail (Mark) Williston, Deborah (Dan) Coughlin, Karen Meyers, Janice Felde, Valerie Senti, and stepdaughter; Deborrah (Ron) Knipp, brother; Rodney Pettis, sisters; Beverly Harris, Joyce Bartels, and Sandy Egge, 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Elmer, stepdaughter; Patricia Daniels, and sister; Doris Hanson. Funeral services will be at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing 1 hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial park under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
