Alvin J. Zufelt, 83, died of Kidney failure on April 6, 2014 at the Uintah Care Center in Vernal, Utah. He was born in Duchesne, Utah on January 16, 1931, and grew up in Heber City, Utah. Alvin married Betty Ann Clary in 1973. She died in 2003. He worked in the restaurant business most of his life. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and spent time in the mountains with his dogs. He grew a large garden which he was very proud of. Alvin is survived by his children: Rosemary Beattie - Rexburg, Idaho; Wayne Zufelt - Midway, Utah; Tim (Tina) Zufelt, Longmont, Colorado. Stepchildren: Cody Brown, Texas; and Annette Perdue, Texas. 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: Alene Giles, Queen Creek, Arizona; and Wally Bates, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceeded in death by Charlotte Zufelt (daughter), and 2 sisters. Funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call at the mortuary from 1:45 until time of services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, service shave been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
