Amber Makael Allred chose to end her life December 2nd, 2022 after a long courageous battle with heroin addiction. She was born August 16, 1990 in Vernal, Utah. She graduated from Ashley Valley High School in 2008 and obtained her CNA license from Uintah Basin Technical College in 2018.
Amber was a beautiful, adventurous, and free spirit. She had an infectious smile, big blue sparkling eyes and a quick-witted sense of humor that touched everyone’s soul. She was very caring and deeply loved her family and friends. Amber was a talented artist and created many meaningful drawings and paintings. Amber enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a cigarette, and a deep conversation. She had the best and most eclectic taste of music, and we will never forget listening to her jovially singing “Picture” by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock or any Regina Spektor song.
May we all know Amber is at peace now and may we all honor the fact that Amber’s legacy was much more than addiction, she had a very positive and powerful impact on those that had the opportunity to cross her path.
Amber is survived by Troy Allred (Dad), Mauri Allred (Mom), Crissy Knibbe (Bonus Mom), Adam Allred (Brother), Amanda Wooley (Sister), Dany Allred (Sister), Edith Atwood (Nana), Diane Mauss (Grandma), and Jon Mauss (Grandpa). She was preceded in death by Art Allred (Grandpa).
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Stone Hollow Event Center (1010 North Vernal Ave).
