Benjamin Rodger Harper

Benjamin Rodger Harper of Orem, Utah was born May 31, 1979 to Rodger Dee and Lois Johnson Harper in Bingham City, Utah.

He married Roxann May Rogers on September 11, 2003 in the Vernal LDS Temple. Ben was faced with many physical challenges. He was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy at the age of 2. Most didn’t know. He never let it slow him down. He worked as a draftsman for over 20 years. He worked for Harris Architecture for the past 2 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the Manchester England Mission. He has held various callings in the church. He graduated from Box Elder High School and ITT Technical College.

Ben was loved by all. He was known as a gentle Giant. He loved his family very much. His nieces and nephews always would run up to him and he would give them a big bear hug. He loved being a foster parent. He had a special connection with every one of them. He loved them and took care of the as if they were his.

He is survived by his wife Roxann, parents, Rodger & Lois; brothers, Tom (Amy) Harper; Josh (Amy) Harper; sister, Kara Lynn (Jason) Hardman; in laws, Tim & Brenda Rogers Many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by many grandparents, uncles, aunts and a niece.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Timpanogos Park 1st Ward Chapel (1000 North Main Street Orem, Utah) Viewing for family and friends will be at the Chapel from 9-10:45 prior to the services. Graveside Services will be Friday April 27, 2018 @ 10:30 AM  at the Vernal Memorial Park in Vernal, Utah, with a Luncheon provided by Ashley 1st Ward Relief Society.
