Beverly passed away on Thursday evening January 2nd 2014. She was born April 29, 1931 in Vernal Utah to James Raymond Siddoway and Ezma Tess Hatch Siddoway of Vernal. Beverly was a lifetime resident of Vernal and graduated with the Uintah High School Class of 1949. Beverly married Lorin Pudge Merkley September 20, 1951 their marriage was later sealed in the Provo Temple in 1977. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, companion and homemaker. Beverly was active and served diligently in her church. She was an LDS temple worker for 13 years. She served an enjoyable 28 years at the Uintah County Library. One of the highlights of her life was performing with the Funtasticts clogging group; young ladies 60 years or older who performed throughout the intermountain west. She was loved by and served countless farm and ranch hands many meals as she supported her husband on their ranch and numerous business ventures. She loved her bridge club and the many friends and associations she made there. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. The Utah Jazz lost a great fan with Grandma Bevs passing. For Beverly the sun rose and set with her family. She was proceeded in death by her parents James Raymond Siddoway and Ezma Tess Hatch Siddoway and Timothy Reynolds Son in law. She is survived by husband Pudge Merkley, Children Wayne (Robyn) Merkley, Terel (Julie) Merkley and Lisa (Steve) Evans, Siblings, Dorthy (Dave) Anderson, Marilyn (Jude) Hacking, Jim Siddoway, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her very much. Grandma lived for us and we lived for her. Heaven just got itself one heck of an angel. You will be missed every second of everyday. We love you Grandma. Funeral services will be held at the Maeser Stake Center in Vernal Utah at 2745 West 1000 north 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 8th 2014. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary or 1 hour prior to services. Burial will be held in the Rockpoint Cemetery under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to make a donation in her memory to the Primary Childrens Hospital.
