Our mother, Blanche Pitchford, died in her sleep at the Beehive Home in Naples, Utah, September 19, 2015. She was 94 years old and had a long struggle with Alzheimers/dementia. Mom was born in Mountain Home, Utah on January 18. Mom was blessed with 69 decedents and counting. Mom worked for the Forest Service, State Drivers License Division and BLM. She loved to travel, loved her family, faith and her treasured friends. Moms outlook on life was always positive regardless of her circumstances. The love that she had for her husband and family was extraordinary. Her children are: Bob, Betty, Jim, Loreen, Terry, Rocky and Marie. Her husband, Gale, grandson, Craig Pitchford and granddaughter Amanda Pitchford preceded her in death. A funeral mass was held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church 11:00, interment immediately after the funeral mass at the Maeser Cemetery. Saint James Catholic Church provided a Luncheon after the interment. Services are under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Special thanks to the many staff members of the Beehive Homes, and Hospice staff that have always taken such wonderful care of our mother, you were a blessing to our mother and brought so much joy to her life. Thanks also to the community for your prayers, those that sent flowers and provided special kindness to our family over this past week.
