Brian O Murray

Brian O Murray age 54, of Lapoint, UT died May 13, 2024 at home unexpectedly. He was born December 14, 1969 in Vernal, UT to David L Murray and Mardean Lamb. He married Diana K Christensen on June 17, 1992.

Brian enjoyed his pets, teasing his nieces and nephews, hunting, fishing, farming, camping with his family, and operating heavy equipment. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1988, where he exceled in wrestling, baseball and football.

After high school he worked for his dad. Then he went to work at the American Gilsonite Mine in Bonanza. 

He is survived by his wife, Diana of 32 years of Lapoint, children; Waylon Murray (Jaxsen Yazzie) of Lapoint, Hailey Murray (Seth Crozier, & grandson on the way) of Neola, his fur-babies Roo, Izzy, Benji (dogs), Dave (the cat), siblings; Troy (Deb) Murray of Vernal, Kent Murray of Vernal, Bobbie Jo Nielson of Lapoint, Trevor (Heather) Murray of Lapoint, Tyson (Cara) Murray of Lapoint, Brittany (Cody) Slaugh of Vernal, Hillary (Pete) Cook of Lapoint, Hunter Murray of Vernal, Baylee (Kyle) Williams of Vernal, McKendrie Murray (Preston Nunn) of Vernal, his in-laws; Dennis (DeAnn) Christensen, Hayden, stepmom- Margo Murray of Vernal.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Lyle (Penny) Glenn, and Mirinda (Rinn) Hall Murray, Glendon and Thelma Brinkerhoff Lamb. His parents David L Murray and Mardean Lamb, brother Brayden Murray, twin sisters, Deana & Deaney Murray, aunt Cathy Nielsen, nephew Jens LaRose, and fur-babies Tia, Penny, Jo, Kona, and Spike. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11 am at the Lapoint LDS Chapel, with viewings held Sunday, May 19^th from 6-8 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Monday 1 hour prior to service at the Chapel. 

Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
