Calvin Eli Poulton, 82, passed away on February 6, 2016 in Vernal, Utah. Born August 12, 1933, in Milner, Idaho to James Wesley and Mary Poulton. He married Anna Lucille Wold in 1953, later divorced. At the time of his death, he was married to Lu Poulton, who has lovingly cared for him for the past 38 years. Calvin was a member of the LDS Church and served as a temple worker in the Vernal Temple. Calvin is survived by his wife, Lu Poulton, sister Barbara Durfee and brother Marvin (Gay Nell), children Teresa (John) Koch, Dwayne, Julie (Scott) Stringfellow, Larry, Patti Sullivan, David (Kamie), Lisa (Mike) Banks, David (Gina) Crane, Janet (Robert) Poppoff, Randy Crane, Karen (Reuben) Dietz, Melinda Downing, and Julie (Les) Harris. He is preceded in death by son Randy Poulton, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Calvin was also the proud grandfather of 56 grandchildren and 77 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Ashley 3rd Ward chapel at 235 East 600 South, Vernal. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser cemetery in Vernal. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the LDS missionary fund. Services are entrusted to Blackburn Vernal Mortuay.
