Carolyn Bodily Cook, age 76 of Vernal, Utah passed away on September 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 16, 1939 in Vernal to Reed and Olen (Hunting) Bodily. In 1966 she married her eternal companion, Glen Harold Cook, in the Salt Lake Temple. Carolyn worked at Ashley Regional Medical Center in the medical records department for over thirty years. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Vernal Temple from 1997 to 2006. She had many callings in the church throughout her life, and loved serving others. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her children; Ron (Diana) Cook, Renie (Gail) Herrmann, Lisa (Jeff) Ross, Nathan (Sabrina) Cook, Mark Cook, Dana (Dan) Bowden, and Amber (Victor) Lopez-Martinez; siblings; LaThare (Karen) Bodily, Vadrus Wall, Barbara Fairy, Kent (Nancy) Bodily, Arrol (Carol) Bodily, Sharon (William) Schaefermeyer, Alice (Clyde) Ruppe. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, her parents, brothers Joseph and Tharon Bodily, sister Athly Thompson, and grandson Cody Cook. Services for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11:00am at the Vernal 7th ward chapel. Viewings will be held Monday from 6-8pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
