Charles Laurence "Larry" White
November 15, 1936 – January 18, 2025
Charles Laurence White, lovingly known throughout his life as Larry, passed away from natural causes at his residence in Draper, Utah, on January 18, 2025, at the age of 88. Born November 15, 1936, in Denver, Colorado, to Charles Ford White and Claire Winslow Williamson, Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who lived a life filled with service, love, and community.
Larry was a compassionate pharmacist who spent his career in Vernal dedicated to the health and well-being of others. He touched the lives of countless individuals, earning him the deep respect and admiration of both colleagues and patients. His unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life, inspiring him to serve and love those around him.
Larry was deeply involved in his Church, volunteering his time throughout his life, including serving as a Recorder in the Vernal Temple. He was also a lover of the outdoors and a committed Scout leader, mentoring and guiding countless young people as they grew into responsible and compassionate adults. Larry's early life included service in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in France from 1954 to 1958 as a corpsman. His time abroad fostered a lifelong love for croissants, led to many deep friendships, and gave him a wealth of stories and adventures that he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends for years to come.
Larry’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Marydith, and their children: Glen White, LiAnn White, and Jennifer Remington. He was a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His legacy of kindness, wisdom, humor, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing preceding at 12:30 p.m. at the Naples Ward LDS Chapel, 2313 South 1500 East, Vernal UT. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park with Military honors from the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local food bank or the American Red Cross. Larry leaves behind a rich legacy of service, compassion, and "Dad jokes"—a life well-lived, and a heart that will be forever remembered. See you soon, Larry.
