Charley Coleman

Charley R. Coleman, Jr. age 49, known by loved ones as Charley, Bobby, Bob, & Bob Boy has passed from this life to eternity at home surrounded by his wife, children, and family on Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was a survivor of Leukemia first, and then a victim; but he fought like a true warrior with courage and valor and even earned his stripes. His last breath here on Earth was his first breath in Heaven. Charley married the love of his life, Johanna Madsen, June 1, 2002 on his 36th birthday in Vernal, Utah. Together they raised three children, Olivia Rene, Shelby Mariah, and Charley R. III. Born in Modesto, California to Charles R. Coleman and Barbara Joyce Durling Coleman, Charley was the second of three children. Charley was a man of many talents and interests. He loved trucks, and was able to build his own trucking company from the ground up. He was a hard worker, often times going weeks or months without a day off. But he also knew the importance of God and family and never shirked his duties there. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. He was a fun loving guy that loved to tease and joke around. Every day he would make calls to various family members to talk about what was happening in their lives. He would strike up conversations about politics, the oilfield, and of course, God's word. It was his way of making sure everyone he loved and cared about was OK. Charley was a cowboy at heart. He loved anything to do with the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, riding four wheelers or just driving around. While growing up in Big Fork, Montana he was taught how to do all these thing by his very special Uncle Paul Ross. Charley and Johanna loved their place of Faith, Living Word Christian Church, where they were active and devoted members. Charley was a good man, making sure his family was always taken care of. We love you Charley, more than words can express. You will be very missed but never forgotten. Charley is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Johanna, children, Olivia Rene Coleman, Shelby Mariah (Levi) Bodily, and Charley R. Coleman III, his loving mother, Barbara J. Durling Coleman, sister Marianne (Bill Tait), brother Allen (Corri) Coleman, grandchildren Audree Hiller, Anna Torres, and Melah Bodily, nephews Joshua A. Tait, Shawn J. Tait, Lucas A. Tait, Noah C. Tait, nieces Leanne Tait, Dakota Coleman, and numerous other nieces and nephews, his in-laws, John and Linda Madsen, Misty (Gary) Lankford, Carol (Gerald) Ratliff, and Julia Madsen. He was preceded in death by his father Charles R. Coleman, grandparents Charley T. and Goldie M. Coleman, Harrison Delbert L. and Rosie E. Hawkins Durling, and a grandson Damon Russell Coleman.
