Clarence Earl "Buddy" Burris passed away at the Ashley Regional Medical Center on April 16, 2017. He was born in Sullivan, Indiana to Clarence and Ruth Elliott Burris. His family moved to Dallas, Texas when he was a teenager. He joined the US Airforce in 1964 and became a proud member of S.A.G. serving on B-52's. After leaving the military, he and his father and his uncle started a small trucking company. Buddy drove trucks most of his life, until Polycystic Kidney disease took him off the road. After moving to Vernal, he became a driver for Vernal Cab Company, a job he enjoyed and kept until his health began to fail once again. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his brother; Carl, sisters; Debbie, Cindi and Robin. He is survived by his wife Judi, daughters; Kimber (Robert) Schultz of Vernal, and Dawnya Michealson of Portland, Oregon, and grandchildren; Gunner Schultz and Lonna (Mitch) Knight of Vernal, Zack Michealson and Megan Michealson of Portland, and best friends; Jim Allen of Salt Lake City, Utah and Billy Roden of Dangerfield, Texas. Also left behind are his furry friends; Lady, Barron and Shyanne. Per Buddy's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be at a later date. The care of Buddy was entrusted to the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
