Claryn Lee Gardner, age 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away November 30th at his daughters home surrounded by his family. Claryn was born in Neola, Utah to Rex Lincoln and Zella Maria Gardner on December 11, 1937. He grew up in Neola, Utah, on July 14, 1960 he married Naomi T. Oaks. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 24, 1965. They had 7 children together. He loved hunting, riding his horse, camping, team penning and family reunions.
Claryn is survived by his children Debbie (Elvis) Prescott, of Neola, UT., Lesa (Rod) Morrison, of Vernal, Jeff (Cindy) Gardner, of Vernal, Janet McCormick of Evanston, WY., Judy (David) Barton, of Vernal, Cristy (Jake) Crookston of West Jordan, UT., 16 grandchildren, 42 great- grandchildren, and 3 great- great- grandchildren, sister Hattie Jensen of Neola, UT.
He is preceded in death by his wife Naomi Gardner, son Gary Gardner, grandson Rowdy Prescott, his parents, and 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held December 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Uintah Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (3990 South 1500 East), viewings will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at the Blackburn Mortuary and Monday from 9:45-10:45 prior to the service at the Church. Interment will follow at the Dry Fork Cemetery under the direction and care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
