Clive E Caldwell, age 92, of Roosevelt, Utah, died Feb. 3, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1919, in Ashley, Vernal, Utah, to Horace and Edna (Larsen) Caldwell. Clive was raised in Ashley, He joined the U.S. Army and spent his time in the States and in Okinawa, Japan. After the war he relocated in San Diego, Calif., where he met his beloved wife Ina Jenkins also from Vernal. They were married on July 3, 1946, later solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple May 4, 1975. Together in life, now together in death. He learned the plastering trade in San Diego, which he did for many years. In 1973 they moved back to Vernal to be closer to their children, grandchildren and extended family. He became a janitor at Maeser School. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed fishing with Ina and spending time with family, brother, sisters, children, grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his children, Irene (Nelden) Cooper, Roosevelt; David (Linda) Caldwell, Lindon, Utah; and sister Iris Tubbs, Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ina, who he has greatly missed in the last few months. Also his daughter Diane, brother Larsen, sister Melba and parents Horace and Edna. Funeral services will be held Wed., Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Maeser Stake Center. Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 124 and 11, and the Utah Army National Guard. Services were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
