Dallas Ben Green, age 78, passed away Saturday February 22, 2014 in Vernal. Ben was born in Maeser Utah to Norma Cook and Dallas Green. Ben spent his early days working on farms in the Vernal area. He learned by necessity the value of hard work, It served him well throughout his life. On February 6, 1974 he married Wallene Workman. They made their home in Vernal, Later they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Vernal Temple. Throughout his adult life Ben worked for various Oil Companies all though out the Uintah Basin. Ben was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. He served faithfully as a greeter in the Vernal 2nd ward and as an ordinance worker in the Vernal Temple. Ben was a talented musician, He loved to play the guitar and sing. Ben is survived by his children, Raelene (Henry) Postma of Hurricane; Gina (Roy) Slaugh of Vernal; brother-in-law , Cliff Richens; special niece Christy (Danniel) Kurtz of Vernal and many nieces and nephews all of Vernal. Ben was preceded in death by his wife Wallene; son, Dennis Crouser; parents, Norma Cook and Dallas Green; sisters, Joyce Richens and Julie Godfrey. Funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vernal 2nd Ward Chapel (235 east 600 South). Friends and family may call Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Services entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
