Dallas John Simonton

Dallas John Simonton, 54, of Rifle Co. passed away on July 31, 2017. Dallas was born June 17, 1963 in Hayden Co. to Sandy and William Simonton, he was the fourth of their five children. Sandy remarried Louis Swett and moved the family to the Swett Ranch where he got one more sister. The family then moved to Vernal where another brother and sister completed the family. Dallas married Nanette McCurdy and had two sons, Elgin and Jared. He had four children from other relationships, Charity, Will, Katelyn and Gabriel. Dallas is preceded in death by his father, step-father, grandparents and brother Billy Simonton and two great-nieces Kodee Williams and Kinley Stewart. He is survived by his children and 9 grandchildren (one more on the way), mother and step-father, Sandy and Ferris Murray, Vernal, siblings: Jean (Rex) Anderson, Vernal, Wade Simonton, Vernal, Jolene Collier, Vernal, Helen (Brad) Stewart, Vernal, Annie (Ryan) MacGregor, Kalispell Mt., Luke Swett, Kalispell Mt. Fourteen nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Rockpoint Cemetary on Saturday August. 5th at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please donate to help with funeral expenses. A luncheon will be held at Kokopelli following the service. A Celebration of Life will be held in Rifle Colorado on Sunday August 6th at Deerfield Park from 1:00-3:00.
