Danny "Poncho" Widner

Danny Wayne Widner (Poncho) passed away peacefully October 3, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado

Danny was the youngest of 3 boys. He spent over 30 years working in many facets in the Gas and Oil field Industry. He was an expert in his field from well control, drilling and completion. He was very successful during his career. 

Danny had many interest and hobbies such as fishing, motorcycles, fast cars and a love for shooting guns, loading ammunition and sighting in scopes for numerous people. 

He had a love for photography and took beautiful pictures. 

Danny loved life to the fullest and was always the guy who made everyone laugh.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ada Mae Widner; brother, Everett.

He is survived by his wife Lori Widner; daughters, Anna Lane Widner of Houston, Texas; Arah Lea Widner of Vernal, Utah; Granddaughters, Suzanna & Shiloh both of Texas, Step son Royce Kimbel of Salt Lake City: Brother Harold Widner of Lubbock, Texas, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly

Graveside services will be Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Vernal Memorial Park. Both Viewings will be at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, Wednesday evening from 6-8 at one from 9:30-10:30 prior to traveling to Cemetery.
