Darla Fae Pike Draney passed away peacefully Vernal Utah on October 28,2020 at the age of 58.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kirk Draney. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26,1985. Had four children Loren, Scott, Kaelani, Aaron and her grandchildren Brinley, Mathias, Izaac, Ann. She is survived by many other family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Darla was born May 16, 1962 in Roosevelt Utah, she was adopted to Loren and Zella Pike. She graduated from Union High School, class of 1980.
Darla enjoyed quilting, traveling, family history, reading, and shopping for her grandchildren. Darla loved the library so much and was always interested in the upcoming books. She would always come out with at least 20 books to start her weekend off and was ready to start a new set of books by monday. Barnes and Noble was her top favorite store. Shopping was her top 2nd thing she liked to do. The rush and excitement of a good discount, always made her day. Also finding a good deal at D.I and yard sales. She was also known for her craftiness in the art of DIY projects. Her caligraphy, if you know her is very beautiful and adding her crafts to it, created the most delightful pieces. There will be days where she stayed up all night on a project. Either sewing a beautiful dress or quilting in the quietness of the night. She valued her quiet time alot, like any parent does. Just as much as she values quiet time, she equally enjoys the time she gets to spend with her family. Family pictures was one thing she especially enjoyed and color coordinating the outfits for all of us. Following by an amazing meal she created with all her secret ingredients. She was strong in the lds church and enjoyed doing endowment sessions when she can. You would catch her humming a hymn here and there while she was taking care of the home. Darla was one amazing, strong, talented, loving wife, mother and nana.
Funeral services will be for Monday November 2, 2020 at 11 am at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be Monday, November 2, 2020; one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Rock Point Cemetery.
