Darryl Donald Andersen Jr., affectionately known as "Peanut," passed away on September 13, 2024, in Vernal, Utah, at the age of 46. Born on November 12, 1977, in Mesa, Arizona, Peanut was a vibrant and outgoing individual known for his love of family, adventurous spirit, and community involvement.
Peanut dedicated two years of his life to a LDS mission in Arequipa, Peru from 1997-1999, an experience that deeply influenced his lifelong commitment to church activities and giving back to his community. He was always at the forefront of church events, consistently striving to make a positive impact on those around him.
In his personal life, Peanut was a devoted father and family man. He relished taking his children to the lake and was always involved in starting new business ventures, a testament to his dynamic and enterprising spirit. His family and friends will remember him as someone who was always willing to go above and beyond to help others, and who never liked to stay still.
Peanut is survived by his father, Darryl Andersen; brother, Buck Andersen; sister, Rachel Lahman; sons, Jaden, Braden, and Dustin Andersen; and daughters, Morgan, Nevaeh, and Anna Andersen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Andersen.
The family invites friends and loved ones to a viewing on Sunday, September 22nd from 6pm to 8pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and on Monday, September 23rd from 9:45am to 10:45am at the Mormon Church located at 200 W 250 N, Vernal, UT. The funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
