Dave B. Mecham, 34, of Williston, North Dakota, formerly of Vernal, Utah, passed away Saturday night, April 19, 2014, the result of a motorcycle accident west of Williston. Dave B. Mecham was born July 29, 1979, to Darrell and Ann (Gilbert) Mecham in Roosevelt, Utah. He was raised and educated there graduating in 1997 from Union High School. On December 31, 2003, Dave was united in marriage to Jonee (Schmidt) Mecham in Heber, Utah. He started his oilfield career at Weatherford in Vernal, Utah. In 2005, he moved on to work for Casedhole Solutions as an engineer. In 2009, he was promoted to District Manager and moved his family to Williston, ND. Dave enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, curling or anything to be with his family and friends. He loved watching his kids play sports and being involved. He was a very proud Hockey Dad. He also loved making memories with everyone in what he may have thought was his greatest creation, The Man Cave. Dave was an all around fun and loving man. His Jonee Lynn was his number one lady and never let a day go by without making her smile. He was a member of the Curling Club, Moose Lodge and Williston Basin Skating Club. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Jonee; parents, Darrell and Ann of Springville, Utah; his sons, Jayden, Daiten, Jacob and DeKoven Mecham; daughters, Jaymee and Jaysha Mecham; brother, Danny; sisters, April and Amy and grandmothers, Venice Neilsen Mecham and Emma Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Don Mecham and Byron Gilbert. Funeral services will be Monday, April 28, 2014. at 11 am at Blackburn Vernal mortuary a viewing will be Sunday 6-8 pm and Monday 1 hour prior to services Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery, services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
