Funeral Services for Dell P. Hunting, age 79 life time resident of Vernal, passed away at the Uintah Care Center on May 9, 2014. He was born October 9, 1934 in Vernal to Earl and Phillis Williams Hunting. He worked as a truck driver in the Oil Field. As a young boy he worked with his dad and brother logging of the back on the Davenport, Dell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dell found enjoyment in Hunting small game animals, collecting guns, taking grandkids shooting, listening to stories of the scriptures, telling his own stories. He is survived by his son, Blaine (Denise) Hunting of Arizona; daughters, Mona (Debbie Anderson) Hunting; Cara Hunting, and Mandi Cae (Lynn) Bastian; brothers, Oran A. (Dorren) Hunting, Allen D. (Joan) Hunting; sister, Minnie Schulthes 12 grandchildren and 11 1/2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Henry, Brandon, Ray, Max Hunting; & his son, Gary Hunting. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis 1st LDS Ward Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). Friends and family may call at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Monday evening from 6-8 pm and at the Church one hour prior to the services.
