DeLon was born on September 10,1928 in Tropic, Utah the 8th child of Loram Pollock and Maggie Johnson Pollock, he peacefully passed away in Vernal, Utah May 22, 2017. DJ grew up in Tropic, attending schools and graduating from Tropic High School in 1947. On March 20, 1950 he married the love of his life LaRee (Cindy) Chynoweth, together they had four children Wayne (Angela) Pollock, Dennis Pollock, Rose LaNell (Dave) Rasmussen, Larry (MaryRuth) Pollock, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. They enjoyed 61 years together until Cindy's passing in August of 2011. On November 18, 2012 he married his friend and sweetheart Pamela Robison, this union add to his family four Children, Kevin (Luz) Van Houten, Lanette (Clayton) Kedding, Barbara (Sean) Trent, Chris (Heidi) Van Houten, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchildren. Next to his family DeLon's greatest joys were fishing on Flaming Gorge reservoir , hunting at the Ute Tower elk camp and traveling with friends and family through the southwestern states during the winter time. DeLon retired from HAFB, he also lived in Hawthorn Neveda, Salt Lake City, Layton, Manila, Utah and Yuma, AZ for many winters. Proceeding him in death was his wife LaRee (Cindy), parents, and siblings Varcil, Keran, Denzil, Maggie, Woody, Clora, MaryEtta, Bill, and Sherrell. Graveside services will at noon May 30, 2017 at the Manila Cemetery, 460 N. 3rd E., Manila, Utah. A viewing will be at the Manila Senior center on Main street one hour prior to the service 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Services directed by Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
