Delroy SKIP Murray

Delroy H (Skip) Murray: Born October 12, 1938 in Taft, California. Skip moved to Vernal in 1958. He married the love of his life, Darlene (Dee) Achziger Murray on March 21, 1958. Together they raised six children as well as many "adopted" children. Skip and Dee's children are: Jerry Murray, Calvin and Marilyn Murray, Sandra and Nick Repac, Denise and Jay Dee Massey, Cheri and Dwayne Parker and Tammy (Moe) and Scott Sims. Skip and Dee had 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, special friend Jim Lawrence and cousin Walt and Helena Roy. Skip's first love was his wife Dee, his children and grandchildren; as well as many friends. Skip also loved hunting, fishing, camping, horse racing and sports. He was a great story teller and could make us all laugh. He was always there when you needed advice, help or someone to haul hay with. Skid was preceded in death by his wife Dee, his mother Dorothy Casada, his grandma Caroline (Mamoo) Roy, his brother Jerry Murray and numerous long time friends. Services will be Thursday April 13, 2017 at 12 noon at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 am to time of services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. UPDATE! There will be no viewing on Wednesday evening.
