DeNell Johnson Hacking

DeNell Johnson Hall Hacking, 79, of Vernal passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Beehive Home in Maeser. She was born September 16, 1938 in Vernal to George Elias Johnson and Sara Emma Smuin.

Dee married Weldon Jefferson Hall, they were later divorced. Dee married Cork Hacking, and they lived happily until Cork’s passing.

Dee loved to socialize, visiting with friends and family; she had a quick wit and always had something to say about whatever was being discussed. She enjoyed making quilts, cooking, and being of help to others. She found great joy being with her sisters.

She is survived by her children Jeffery (Charlene) Hall of Orem UT and Jerry (Kay) Hall of Whiterocks UT, 6 grandchildren, and sisters Kay Farnsworth and Louise Ross.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Vaughn William and Grant, and sisters Afton Iliene Richens, Dora May Beaman, Margie Bolster, Christa Bateman, and Sara Elva Locke.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, 10:00 AM at Vernal Memorial Park. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the care and direction of Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary and Cremation Care. Send condolences online to family at www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com.
