Donna Etchen

Donna Etchen, age 67 of Roosevelt, Utah, passed away at her home on November 4, 2012. She was born in Provo, Utah on July 13, 1945 to Donald G. and Deloris J. Osiek Barrett. She married Steven L. Etchen in 1962 and together they had 6 children. Donna moved to the Basin from Gunnison, Colorado 13 years ago. She belonged to the Living Word Christian Church and served on a mission to Canada. She worked for Sand Star Entertainment and excelled at her job, earning employee of the month. She also developed a technique for National Semiconductor. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and to fish. But she loved taking care of her family and husband. Donna is survived by her husband Stephen, children; Stephen Judd Jr., David Judd, Jeffrey Judd, Michael Etchen, Timothy Etchen, sister; Kena Dawn Ebert, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Sarah Etchen, and brother Dick Scott. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with a visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
