Dora Firth

Dora Firth passed away December 21, 2013 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. She was born December 27, 1932 in Vernal, Utah to Stanley Glen & Thelma Hunting Oaks. She married Boyd Firth on October 8, 1954. He passed away four days after their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Dora enjoyed the outdoors hunting, riding horses, being in the mountains and around the people she loved. Dora and Boyd were involved in horse racing from the early seventies until Boyds health wouldnt allow it. They made many friends and cherished memories in the years that they were racing horses. She is survived by her sons, Drew Firth of Evanston, WY; Dennis Firth of Parachute, CO; Dan (Syd) Firth of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Connie (Bo) Aronson of Kemmerer, WY; brother, Gay Lynn (Lila) Oaks, Vernal, Utah; sister, Naomi (Claryn) Gardner of Vernal, Utah; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd; parents, two granddaughters, Heather Erikson and Christy Firth Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 28, 2013 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call at the mortuary, Friday evening from 6-8 and on Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, Services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
