Dorothy Mae Bernard, age 90, passed away at her home in Vernal peacefully in her sleep after playing Bingo with her friends and family the night before. She was born to Edward and Mable McCord in Ridgeway, Montana on August 25, 1924. She lived in Vernal for 18 years and was very active enjoyed her friends in her apartment building. She was always supportive of the disable veterans ad gave to the regularly. She found a love for sewing and crocheting. She often made what she called "Crazy Quilts" because they were every color and design. She is survived by her son, Norman Ray Bernard, of Vernal; daughter-in-law, Lynne and Elaine Bernard of Washburn, Missouri and Vernal; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; her younger sister Ruth Loehding of Spokane, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Joseph Bernard, her son, Calvin Edmund Bernard, and nine of her ten siblings. She is loved and missed greatly by all her family and friends. Services will be December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rockpoint Chapel (2575 North 1500 West). Luncheon will follow.
