Doyle Jay Eaton left his earthly home on April 16, 2015 at 74 years old. He was born on December 14, 1940 to Ezra Stanley Eaton and Anna Myrl Robbins Eaton. He was the 3rd child with one older brother and sister and one younger brother. He had so many wonderful stories from his childhood and he always loved to tell them and we sure enjoyed hearing them. His mother used to call him her Little Peonie (the flower) because she said he looked like one. On June 24, 1961, he married the love of his life, Carol Jean Hullinger. He spent his life taking care of her and enjoyed every minute of that responsibility. He was a true gentleman in all aspects of the word. Together they had three beautiful daughters and then later adopted their 4th daughter. Doyle and his wife Carol were sealed together for time and eternity at the Salt Lake Temple on June 23, 1966. Doyle was a gear head, through and through. He has enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together his whole life. He made that his career as a mechanic. He loved building his pride and joy - a 1978 Chevy Malibu with a 454 big block - pure muscle and power (He didn't believe in using nitrous or anything like that). He loved racing it any chance he got. He also enjoyed flying remote control airplanes, target shooting, and riding motorcycles with his brothers, he also enjoyed CB Radio and his handle (name) was Scorpion. His other big passion was for his country and the military - he was a very proud American and everyone knew it. He worked for Lloyds motor and then Utah Motor in the earlier years of his marriage. Then he worked for GSA, which made him have to work in Salt Lake for a little while. After that, he was able to get a great job at American Gilsonite - where he worked for 13.5 years as a mechanic before he retired. He also did work a couple part time jobs as well for River Runners and Basin Auto. Doyle enjoyed being a Husband, Father, and Grandfather. And he was the best one any of us could have asked for. Laughing and telling jokes was a must. He enjoyed laughing and making people laugh. He loved sharing his hobbies with his children (daughters and son in laws) and grandchildren. We all have so many wonderful memories with him, and we are eternally grateful for that. There are not enough words to describe just how truly amazing Doyle was. But anybody who knew him, already knows that. He is survived by his wife, Carol. Daughters- Debra Rodarte, Barbara (Brent) Foster, Jean (Robert) Parker, and Trista (Scott) Harrison. Grandkids- Tim Rodarte, Tyler Foster, Becca Parker, Nicholas Foster, Mikylee Harrison, and Jaycen Harrison; Son-in-law, David Rodarte. Two Great Grandkids- Gracie Rodarte and Jonas Rodarte, and also one on the way. Sister- Donna Steele. Brother- Larry (Ruey) Eaton. And also many cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was proceeded in death by his Father Ezra Eaton and Mother Myrl Eaton, Father in Law [Les] William Hullinger, Brother Neldon Eaton. Sister in Law Betty Eaton, Brother in Law Leonard Steele, Nephew Michael Eaton, Niece Judy Gerini (and Nephew- Phillip Gerini), and Great Niece Amanda Eaton.
