Born December 9, 1928 to William Duke Harrison and Flora Mamie Kidd Harrison. Doyle passed away peacefully on July 14, 2014. Doyle was the fourth child of ten, born and raised in Naples Utah. The family always had horses, and Doyle learned the art of blacksmithing from his father. He served in the US Army and returned to Vernal to work in the oilfield. Doyle was a loyal and supportive husband, a father of two and a Dad to 12. He was rewarded with 59 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren, with 4 more on the way. Doyle had a special way with horses, and spent countless hours teaching and helping the children and grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, and in the summer you would find him shoeing horses for friends and neighbors, assisting with the Outlaw Trail Ride, changing water, or just being a "cowboy". Doyle will be MISSED. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, with Military Honors provided by American Legion and Utah National Guard, services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
