November 13, 1915 ~ August 7, 2014 Elsie Elizabeth Teem, age 98, passed away August 7, 2014 in Roosevelt, Utah. She was born November 13, 1915 in Alamosa, Colorado to Walter Green and Pearl Johnson Wood and was the fifth of eight children. She married frank Goodwin. They later divorced. She married John Walter Teem, July 4, 1937 in Creede, CO. Together they ranched near Alamosa, CO until retiring in 1974 when they moved to Vernal, Utah. Elise was a member of the Stanley Homemaker Club, a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the local Brotherhood of Fireman and Engineers, and served as an election judge in Alamose County, Colorado. She loved gardening and working in her yard and was an excellent cook. Elise was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Walter Clyde Goodwin; sister, Marie Wood; Beatrice Davis, and Shirley Herrell; and brothers, Harry Wood, Walter Wood, Fredrick Wood, and James Wood. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (James) Morrow and Dianna (Bill) Bonner of Vernal, Utah; a son, John (Lori) teem of Roosevelt, Utah; grandchildren, Eric (Ruth) Morrow of Cedar City, Utah, Whitney Bonner of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Amber (John) Romero of Phoenix, Arizona. Burial will be in Monte Vista Cemetery, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 12:00 noon.
