Fay Christine Marshall, better known as Chris, was called home Feb. 3, 2024, after a long fight with multiple sclerosis and ultimately falling to several illnesses at once. She passed peacefully with her son, Dave, holding her hand.
Born to Irvin & Meris Secrest Sept. 3, 1954 in Moab, Utah and grew up in Roosevelt, Utah with her 4 brothers & where she graduated from Union high school.
Chris was married to Dickie Prue in 1972, the marriage was blessed with three children together but she later divorced. She married her husband, Edward Dale Marshall in 1997 but became widowed in 2019.
Chris was an incredibly hard-working woman who raised her children on her own, often working more than one job, as she was also fiercely independent. She served as a waitress for most of her life before becoming a cabinet maker where she retired early from Udell’s Cabinets.
Chris loved to travel and she enjoyed many fun adventures with her husband, Dale, whether on a cruise ship in Mexico or on her Harley, touring the country.
She loved to be on the open road in her Firebird Trans Am with the top off too.
She was passionate about her children, whom she loved to cook for & spoil. Chris was always happy to fire up the BBQ for anyone hungry & margaritas weren’t far behind.
She is survived by her mother, Meris Secrest, Brothers Ken (Karen) Secrest, Allen Secrest and Steve (Danette) Secrest, her children, Ron Prue, David Prue and Angel (Spencer Mayes), granddaughters, Shelby & Berlyn.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Secrest, father, Irvin Secrest, husband, Dale Marshall and her niece, Ashlei Stearns.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with a viewing held from 12:45 – 2:00pm. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
