Fern Alice Neighbors

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, Fern Alice Jones Neighbors also known as "Tiny" to those who knew her, age 61 passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on August 10, 2014. Fern was the oldest of nine children, born December 10, 1952 to Claude and JoAlice Jones in Burley, Idaho. She married at age 17 to Alex Clement Neighbors III, and became a loving mother of five children. They later divorced. She had come into this world with limitation and despite her limitations she raised her children as a single mother going back to school to get her high school diploma and attending college to receive her associate in secretarial and bachelors in Child development. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her love and sense of humor will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Jones; brothers, Kail, Garth and Douglas Jones; sister Felicia Jones; granddaughter, Alexis Neighbors, and son, Alex Neighbors IV. She is survived by her mother, JoAlice, daughters, Sondra June Neighbors, Mary Beth Neighbors Miller, Candice Vaness Neighbors McDougald and Mayme Louise Neighbors; Brothers Claude T. Jones and James Jones sisters, Rebecca Louise Jones and Heidi Lynn Jones. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jensen LDS Ward Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Jensen Chapel for both viewings; Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 1:00-2:00 until time of services.
