Flora Watkins

Flora Watkins, age 93, passed away in Fountain, Florida. She was born September 11, 1921 in Davis Ward, Vernal, Utah, The 4th child of Jennie (Kolb) and Lorenzo (Ren) Watkins. She came from a large family of nine girls and two boys. Four sisters and one brother are still living. She was the fourth of eleven children. Her family stayed close through the years and shared a lot of fun memories and love. Flora never married. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Davis 1st Ward and Bonanza Branch. She enjoyed visiting teacher, and collecting dolls. She worked at Newton Bros Saddle and other Saddle shops making cinches. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister's Marie Smuin, Norma Evans, Delora Burke, Juanita Ellsworth; brother, Howard Watkins. She is survived by her siblings, Gladys Barker, DeLaine Massey, Shirley Watkins, Bessie Owen & Winona Walker, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, one brother and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Davis 1st & 4th Ward Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). Friends and family may call at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 and at the Chapel one hour prior to the services.
