Genevieve Elaine Lollar Huber

Genevieve Genny Elaine Lollar Huber Our wife, mother, and grandmother Genny Huber passed away on January 23, 2014 in Vernal, UT from complications of Alzheimers. She was born on December 18, 1937 to Alton Allen and Cora Alice Lollar in Edgerton, WY. She spent most of her youth in Bridger Montana where she graduated from high school and served as class president. She attended Brigham Young University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During her time there she made a visit to Lapoint, Utah where she was introduced to Marvin Mugs Huber in whom she fell in love and later married on June 6, 1959. For the next 54 years they made their home in Lapoint where they were blessed with 9 children. She lived her life in the service of her family, church, and community. In her professional career she worked as Registered Nurse at both Ashley Regional and Uintah Basin Medical Centers, worked with Public Health Services as a school nurse, and was the instructor of nursing at the Uintah Basin Applied Technology Center. She was the unofficial community nurse for the entire town of Lapoint. She loved her time spent on the farm where she invested time in her family, garden, and yard. She taught her children to work hard but not to forget the importance of having fun. She lived by her high school motto to smile with the intent to do mischief. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on September 23, 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam Popeye and Alice Lollar, her brother Lonnie Lollar, and her son Larry B Huber.
