Gordy grew up on a farm in Richfield, Utah. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served his mission in Denmark. He married Judith Anne Jensen on June 22, 1973 in Richfield, Utah. They were sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on June 29, 1974. Gordy worked as an automotive mechanic. He was kind, friendly, and always ready with a smile. He was hardworking, dependable, generous, and loyal. His interests were fishing, motorcycling, drag racing, and tinkering.

 Celebration of Life for Gordon will be Monday June 24, 2024 at 1 pm at the Rockpoint LDS Church (2575 North 1500 West)
