Harold Kenneth Nash, age 66 of Vernal, passed away June 9, 2012 at Ashley Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was born December 25, 1945 in Cooksville, Tennessee to Doyle and Bonnie Ray Nash. He moved to the Vernal area in the 1970s and married Elaine Steinaker Lund on November 1, 1986. He retired from Coastal Oil & Gas on January 31, 2001 where he worked as a Pumper/Gauger. He and Elaine were snowbirds in Yuma, Arizona. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, riding ATVs, golfing and just being outdoors. He took pride in his yard and loved horse racing. Most of all he loved to be with his family and friends. Ken is survived by his wife; Elaine, children; Jon (Cindy) Nash of Midvale, and Marc (Tiffany) Nash of Vernal, Utah, stepchildren; Tami Brayton of Vernal, Utah, Troy (Jacque) Lund of Highland, Utah, and Tommy (Apryl) Lund of Vernal, Utah, 20 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, and sister, Deanna (Carl) Johnson of Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew; Pat Johnson. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vernal Christian Church with viewings Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Blackburn Mortuary and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Maeser Cemetery under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
