August 6, 1928 ~ September 22, 2014 Helen Marie Hackler, age 86, of Vernal passed away at Ashley Regional Medical Center on Monday, September 22, 2014. She was born to Robert and Nellie Comptallis McFarland on August 6, 1928 in New Hampton, Iowa. Helen worked as a Sales Clerk for Ashton Brothers. She was a member of the Christian Faith. Helen is survived by her children, Scott E. Duke of Vernal; Gary Lee Duke of Grand Junction, Colorado; Michael Ray Duke of Santa Ana, California; brother, Jim McFarland of California; sister, Marilyn Chase of Mesa Arizona; grandchildren, Brody Lee Duke, Kara Audrea Duke, Donovan Brown, Sara Clements, Justin Duke, Kendal Billingsley, 5 great grandkids. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Becky Ann Brown.
