Helen Millecam Morrill

Helen Josephine Reese Millecam (Morrill), a long time Vernal resident, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 surrounded by family and the caring staff at the Vernal Beehive Home in Maeser, Utah on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Helen was born on May 4, 1925 to Jacob Burton Reese and Esther Wilhelmine Felt of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The family moved to Vernal in 1926. In her youth, Helen loved to play baseball and was an active bowler. She married George Daniel Millecam on December 31, 1946. She and George were the proud owners of the long running Dine-A-Ville Motel in Vernal. Helen left her mark on Vernal when she designed the Pink Dinah that welcomes all to Vernal to this day. Helen was an avid painter and enjoyed keeping active. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. She and her husband George served a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1987. Helen and George have four children: Willa Rae Dilworth (Kenneth), Jerry George Millecam, Helen Melinda Barlow (Doug), and Diana Mae Hamblin (Dave). Helen has 22 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Her husband, George preceded her in death in 1996. In 1999 Helen married her longtime friend, Dellis Ivan Morrill. She welcomed his children: Diane Meek (Scott) and Darin Ivan Morrill with open arms. Dellis preceded her in death with his passing in 2016. She lived a full life giving service and care to others. She was an example and role model for her family and those close to her. She will be dearly missed. In addition to She was a master Homemaker and taught classes in food preservation, and sewing. She worked with the 4-H clubs and was a judge for the fairs. She belonged to the progressive arts Club for many years. She worked on the 1st ladies doll collection and made the dress for Mamie Eisenhower. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 Am at the Vernal 1st LDS Ward Chapel (475 West 100 South ). A viewing will be held Tuesday evening August 15, 2017 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary from 6-8 and at the Chapel one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, with Military Honors provided by National Guard. Under the direction of the Blackburn and Son's Vernal Mortuary.
