Ida Merrell

August 10, 1923- January 27, 2015 Ida Beryl Wilson Merrell, age 91, passed away on January 27, 2015 at Ashley Valley Medical Center from complications from Pneumonia. She was born August 10, 1923 to William Wellington Wilson and Ida Beryl Nelson Wilson in Randlett. Ida was the third of ten children. Ida attended school in Leota and Avalon Utah. Ida lived many places in her long life. Ida started working while in High School; she made $1.00 a week she continued to work until her retirement. At one time she and her second husband owned and operated the Blue Roof Restaurant in Crescent City California. After moving back to vernal she met and married Marvin Merrell. Ida was a member of the LDS Church and attended whenever she could. Ida was sill attending curves up until a week before she passed away. She had many friends and enjoyed riding with Rebecca Richards and JoAnn Hunting. Ida is survived by children, Dana Stephens of Maple Falls Washington, Donald Stephens of Vancouver, Washington, Blanche Shannon of Vernal, Utah, Murlin Lee of San Jose California, and Milo Lee of Tucumcari, New Mexico; sister, Isabell Miller of Washington. Ida is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Merrell, parents and infant daughter. A Memorial Services will be held on February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Naples 1st Ward chapel.
