Ida Marie Biorn Twitchell slipped peacefully through Heavens door Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014. Ida was born August 22, 1937 in Ashton, Idaho to Lawrence Paul and Thelma Edginton Biorn. She grew up and spent the majority of her life in Manila, Utah. She married her high school sweetheart Burl D. Twitchell, October 7, 1952 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, November 16, 1964. Ida lived a life of service through numerous church callings, working with children in the schools, serving as councilwomen for the town of Manila, and feeding the crowds. Her greatest service was to her family as a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Burl; her children, Beth (Allan) Anopol, LuAnna (Fred) Lambert, Nella Rae (Gale) Lamb, Samuel (Tamara) Twitchell, Sarah Twitchell; her sister, WaNeta (Ed) Richman; and brothers, Larry (Wilma) Biorn and Paul (Barbara) Biorn. She had 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Thelma Biorn, sister, Zona Larsen, son, Lawrence Twitchell; daughter, Thelma Louise; and grandson, Jeremy Twitchell. Funeral will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 12:00 noon. @ The Manila LDS Ward Chapel. Friends and family may call Saturday from 10:45 until 11:45 prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Daggett County Cemetery in Manila, Utah. Services entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
