Jay Slaugh, 71, of Vernal, Utah passed away in his home surrounded by family after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on May 12, 2022. Jay was born October 11, 1950 in Collburn, Colorado, to Melburn (Bud) Slaugh and Nora Gaudern. He attended Uintah High School in Vernal, Utah and graduated with the class of 1969. Jay was also a four-year seminary graduate. Jay was married to Linda Foster for a short time and they had one daughter Nichoel. After his divorce, Jay relocated to Denver, Colorado where he lived for 50 years procuring his life’s diverse career.
Jay I survived by his daughter, Nichoel Green of Rangely, Colorado, granddaughter Aubrie of Rangely, Colorado, sisters Judy (Earl) Snyder of Vernal, Utah and Bonnie (Mike) Ross of Conifer, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jay is proceeded in death by 2 brothers, Bob and Chris Slaugh and his parents, Nora and Melburn (Bud) Slaugh.

Graveside services for Jay will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10 AM at the Vernal Memorial Park.
