November 30, 1932-November 26, 2014 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Joan Poulson Robbins, passed away November 26, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Joan was born November 30, 1932 in Duchesne, Utah to Mont and Florence Todd Poulson. She graduated from Duchesne High School where she was the valedictorian and went on to attend BYU for two years. It was at BYU that she met her sweetheart, Arden V. Robbins. They were married May 1, 1954 in Duchesne, Utah. Joan stayed at home to raise their three boys but also helped Arden run his service station business by doing the bookwork. She loved to do needlework, cross stich, genealogy, and read. She played the piano for various church and community organizations beginning at a very young age. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and served in many positions including pianist, teacher, Primary and relief Society President. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and loved ones and will be greatly missed by all. Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arden V. Robbins, their three sons, Craig Robbins of Las Vegas, Nevada; Kirk (Dorraine) Robbins of Vernal, Utah; and Brent Robbins of Irvine, California, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine Shisler; brother, Milton Poulson. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Vernal 9th ward chapel (250 North 250 West). Friends and family may call at the Chapel from 9:30- until 10:45 prior to the services.
