JoAnne Elaine Taylor

JoAnne “Elaine” Humphries Taylor passed away on April 7th, 2025 in Vernal, Utah.

She was born June 28th, 1942 in Vernal, Utah to Elmer and Venice ”Penny” Oaks Humpries.

Elaine married Ken Taylor on February 14, 1963. There were blessed with 2 children Corey and Jennie. Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings such as Primary teacher and Relief Society. She was a mom to everyone; she loved music and was very artistic. She loved animals and loved being in the outdoors, especially the spring time.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family.She is survived by her husband Ken, son Corey (April) Taylor, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Brother, Dwayne (Doris) Humphries.

She is preceded in death by daughter Jennie Taylor, mother Penny, father Elmer, sister Myrna (Ted) Hardinger and great granddaughter Zelda Taylor.

Funeral Services for Elaine will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11 am at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 S 2500 E) with viewings held Sunday from 6-8PM at the Mortuary and 1 hour prior at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
