Joshua Ray Kitchen

Joshua (Josh) Ray Kitchen May 2, 1978~ Sept. 19, 2015 Born May 2, 1978 in Vernal, Utah and returned to his Heavenly Father on Sept. 19, 2015. Josh was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in various callings. He enjoyed going and serving in the temple. Josh was first and foremost a father to his three children, Jenica, Kyler and Jace, who he loved very much. He loved to spend as much time as possible with them. He loved nature and being in the outdoors, especially when riding his motorcycle. He often stated that his therapist was his motorcycle. Josh chose employment in the community of Ephraim, Utah, which he loved, where he was able to use his talents to help and serve others. Much of his free time was spent lifting the spirit of people in need. Consequently he was loved and respected by many in Sanpete County. He is survived by: his daughter, Jenica Paige Kitchen; and his two sons, Kyler Ray Kitchen and Jace Ryker Kitchen; and their mother, Rachelle Richards "Kitchen." By his parents Gordon Ray and Amanda Kay Kitchen. His grandparents Joyleen Kitchen, MaryEllen Kitchen and Bob and Doris Griffin. By his siblings Chandrea and Shane Greene; Bryant and Jody Kitchen; Jeremy and Nikki Kitchen; Miranda and Drew Bentley; Dallon and Tania Kitchen; Kyra Kitchen; Talia Kitchen; and 16 nieces and nephews who loved him greatly. Proceeded in death by his grandfather Norman Ray Kitchen. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Naples 2nd Ward (2313 South 1500 East). Family and friends may call Tuesday, evening from 5:00-7:00 at the Ephraim Stake Center and on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. In Lieu of Flowers please make donations to Mountain America Credit Union in care of Joshuas Children.
