Judy Peterson

Judy C. Peterson left this world and those she loved on March 20, 2013 with her family by her side. Judy was a genuine, kind and loving person who possessed a sharp wit and equally keen sense of humor. She worked and played hard her entire life. Judy loved camping, taking rides, crossword puzzles, a competitive Yahtzee or card game and anything fun. She was especially fond of places that had scenic views and ice cold beer. Judy was the life of the party. Judy was born January 6, 1939 to Vic & Doris DoDo Waite, who have preceded her in death. She was most thankful for her husband, soul mate and best friend, Mel Peterson. Her greatest source of pride came from her children; Mike (Laurie) Murray, Vicki (Clay) Kone, Wendy (Glen) Smith, and Kevin (Stacey) Mickelson. She was a great Mom. In addition, Judy adored her 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. In her later years, she found a special love and friendship with a little dog named Patton. She will be incredibly missed. Undoubtedly, Judy touched many lives. At her request there will be no funeral. Rather there will be a family memorial on the mountain when the grass turns green. Judy wanted all of those who knew and loved her to take a moment and remember the good times. This was her way of making you smile and laugh one more time. She will be in our hearts eternally and we loved her. Care for Judy were entrusted to the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
