Kathleen Boren Stubbs Finlinson, 64, passed away February 25, 2014 at her home in vernal with loving family by her side. She was born November 13, 1949 in Vernal a daughter of Boyd L Boren and Ellen Wilkins Boren. She married David Stubbs and was later divorced. She married her sweetheart, Rex Finlinson on November 6, 1997. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Through her example, she taught all her children that truce happiness comes from the simplest things in life. She found enjoyment in God's beautiful creation; we will see her in every bird's flight and every flowers bloom, and feel her in the peacefulness of the family farm. She loved and welcomed all who stepped through her door. Known by many as the fun and goofy grandma that would do anything to make her grandchildren smile. We'll always remember her chicken noodle soup, lullabies, storytelling, warm hugs and kisses, memorable family parties, feeding the horses sugar cubes, filling bird feeders, beautiful gardens, warm summer evenings on the patio and long conversations with family and friends at the kitchen table. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Brent Boren; and great-grandson, Canyon Hunt. She is survived by her husband Rex Finlinson; her five children, Tami (Kelly) Hunt, Travis (Amber) Stubbs, Jay (Alisha) Stubbs, Joe (Mandy) Stubbs, Dawn (Kurtis) Arnold; step-children, Drex Finlinson and Heidi Finlinson; 29 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. No Funeral Services will be held at this time. The family will be having a celebration of Kathy's life in the spring when the flowers are in bloom. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Home Care Hospice Team for their support in her final days, along with all the friends and family who gave of their time and love and support. Services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
