Kaye "Katy" Wilcken Dow, age 71, passed away at University of Utah Hospital on January 3, 2016. She was born to R. Craig and Vida LaRae Wilcken on December 29, 1944 in Heber City, Utah. Kaye was a darling baby and grew up into the cutest girl. She was beautiful inside and out. There are not many who know how to truly be a friend but Katy definitely did. She married Wilford Eugene Jensen on April 2, 1966. She graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1964. Katy was employment at Michele's Modeling in SLC to put herself though beauty school. She worked as a beautician for years. She made every person she was with feel like family. We loved to hear her laugh. We don't think that we ever visited Kaye without spending hours gathered around her kitchen table, telling stories and laughing until (As she would say) "The tears ran down her legs." Kaye was very dear to us and we had many fun and loving experiences. We could always count on Kaye to be there. How we are going to miss her at our gatherings, kissing everybody and taking pictures. She worked at Granger Medical as a Medical Assistant in SLC. Katy was also employed by Halliburton, FMC, U.S. Forest Service and Juvenile Court in Vernal, Utah. She was very dedicated and hardworking, throughout her career. She started working at the age of 14 at the Roosevelt Drug store, serving soda and ice cream to customers. Katy loved the night time sky in Vernal. She would sit on the porch to watch the full moon come up and the beautiful sunsets in the evenings. It is her loving nature and gifts of laughter that make us strive to bring just a bit of the brightness she brought so effortlessly, to others, and to keep her incredible spirit alive in our stories and memories. There was always something mysterious and elegant about her. She was so special to so many people. We will miss her phone calls and Christmas cards with a little note she sent each year. She was a genuine sweetheart. She always said "don't worry about me." We will forever hold her close in our hearts. The memory of her laughter will always bring a smile to our faces. She is preceded in death by her first and loving grandson, Parish Darrell Grant Hansen of St. George, Utah; her parents. She is survived by her Children, Danielle Genaye Jensen of St. George, Utah; Michael Craig Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah; 9 grandchildren, Parish, Tanner, Tristen, RiQie, Caleb, Kayelynn, Preston, Aaiden, & HarleyQuinn; siblings, Ray Craig (Cindy) Wilcken of Santee, CA, Alan R.
