Kim Rex Christiansen March 13th, 1950 – December 29th, 2020
Kim Rex Christiansen was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, and uncle. He passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020, surrounded by his family.
Kim Christiansen was born on March 13, 1950, to Johnnie Modell Christiansen and Lena Packer Christiansen. He grew up in Downey, Idaho and attended Marsh Valley High School. Kim served in the London East Mission from 1970-1971. He later went on to Ricks College and eventually came to Vernal to find his sweetheart, Emily Searle. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple on Sept 22, 1972.
Kim worked in the oilfield for 30 years and he loved his work. He also loved working in his wood shop. He was always creating new projects and perfecting them. When his grandkids would go to help him in the wood shop, he would always stop what he was doing to make a fun project with them. He loved to fish, especially when his grandkids would come with him. He enjoyed his travels on his motorcycle with Emily. They traveled with the Temple Riders to temples around the country. They enjoyed the people they rode with and he made many great memories with everyone that he met. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Kim is survived by his wife, Emily Searle Christiansen, his five children, Bryan Kim Christiansen (Donna), Joshua Wade Christiansen (Tran), Jennifer Christiansen Burr (Max), Steve Milton Christiansen (Nicole), and Mark Christiansen. His 19 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, soon to be 2. His Siblings, Modell Christiansen, Charlene Christiansen Turner, Rosemary Christiansen Dudley, Teri Christiansen, Wade Christiansen, and Amber Christiansen McKee.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Modell Christiansen and Lena Packer Christiansen, as well as his brother, Eric Christiansen
A memorial fund has been set up to help with funeral expense at Mountain America Credit Union.
