Larry D Richardson
December 15, 1936 - August 25, 2024
Larry Richardson, a true cowboy at heart and a skilled heavy equipment operator in the oilfield passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Born with the spirit of the West, Larry was known for his kindness, gentle nature, and unwavering work ethic. He spent his life working hard to provide for his family, always with a smile and a story to share. Larry was a skilled horseman who enjoyed riding throughout his lifetime, his last horse ride was at the age of 78 and he could still sit a horse better than those, half his age.
Larry was a devoted family man, and his love for his wife, Leona (Noke), was the cornerstone of his life. They married June 21st 1956. Their bond was unbreakable, and her passing left a void that he never sought to fill. They raised a family that was Larry’s greatest pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, passing on his love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures in life. One of his beloved past times shared with Leona was to pack a picnic lunch and travel the mountains together. They could spend an entire day searching for wildlife and watching the deer and elk roam our beautiful countryside.
Larry had a deep passion for fishing and found peace in the mountains where he could connect with nature and reflect on life's blessings. All who knew him will miss his gentle spirit, wisdom, and warm presence.
Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and humility. Though he has ridden off into the sunset, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He is now reunited with his beloved Leona, riding the open range together once again.
Larry is survived by his children Lenny (Brenda), Jimmy, Janice (Jeff), Laurie (Dan), Larry Duane (Michelle), 22 grandchildren, 47 Great-grandchildren, 4 Great-Great-grandchildren, his siblings Carol Jean Richardson, and Bonnie Hackford.
He is preceded in death by his wife Leona Jane Richardson, children; David J. Richardson, and Leland Robert Richardson, his siblings Lorna Teal, Joyce Schanno, Kay Olsen, Bob Richardson, Jay Richardson, and his parents Archie and Rose.
